How we help with housing & utilities

When a family is on the verge of losing their home or having utilities disconnected, we step in to bridge the gap and provide stability.

Rent Assistance

We help cover rent payments to prevent eviction and keep families in their homes. All payments are made directly to landlords — never to individuals.

Emergency Stay Hotels

For families without housing, we can assist with emergency hotel stays to ensure children have a safe, warm place to sleep while permanent housing is secured.

Utility Payments

We help keep the lights on, the water running, and the heat working by assisting with electricity, gas, and water bills when families fall behind

Move-In Costs

Security deposits and first month's rent can be a major barrier. We help families who have been approved for housing make the move.

Eviction Support

We help families avoid eviction due to temporary hardship. Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Am I Eligible?

Housing and utility assistance is available to Cobb County families who meet the following initial criteria. This helps us get started but does not guarantee assistance:

  • You have at least one child (birth to 18 years old) living with you and have legal guardianship.
  • You live within the boundaries of Cobb County, GA.
  • You have some form of consistent income — employment, disability, benefits, etc.
